A Great way to Go Green is by setting up a solar electrical system to power your home. If done correctly, this strategy can not only reduce or do away with your electric bill altogether, it can even put some serious cash back in your pocket through incentives, tax credits, and even through selling excess power BACK to the electric utility!

Making your own solar and wind power for less than $200

But contrary to some hypey claims made by some dubious “information” products out there, you can’t install a home solar power system for a couple hundred bucks…not even close. But you CAN do it, and make it pay…

Here’s the realities involved in commercial building inspections and installing a residential solar electrical system:

First, let’s do the math. For every square foot of living space you are going to need around 2.2 watts of capacity. So, for the average 1200 square foot ranch house, you would need (2.2×1200= 2,640w) or 2.64Kw.

The system should be slightly upsized to allow for growth, so in this scenario you should plan on a 3Kw solar electrical array. The costs for this vary, but if you aren’t handy and need to hire professionals to do all the work for you, figure around $8-10 USD per watt, or about $30k for our example system fully provided and installed by others.

TIP: There are a LOT of ways to reduce this by procuring the materials and doing some of the work yourself, so if you are even a little bit “handy” don’t despair- that example assumes you are totally helpless with a hammer, and are going to have to hire the whole deal out, and that’s not true of most people…read on and we’ll get to that later.

Now, you have to decide: On Grid Or Off Grid? What this means is are you going to hook your solar electrical system into the main power grid in your area or run it as a stand-alone system for your benefit only?

Let’s explore the pros and cons of each strategy:

Staying off the grid requires that you build an expensive storage array of deep-cycle batteries to store power for later use when the weather won’t cooperate with sunshine or at nighttime.

For extended periods of poor solar production you are also going to need a generator sized appropriately to power your entire house, and that’s another big-ticket item.

Tying into the grid requires that you have special, approved equipment and a system that’s been installed to codes and standards, usually by licensed personnel and that can be costly as well, but much safer too.

Also, as in scenario one, you still need to make a decision regarding storage for night or inclement weather if you really want to reduce or eliminate your dependency on the power company altogether.

Making your own solar and wind power for less than $200

Here’s my favorite way to go solar with the least expense and the biggest payback:

Install a grid-tied system that is slightly oversized for your needs, and forget about a storage array.

During the day, when most people are at work or out of the house, your consumption is way down, and this has the effect of spinning your meter backwards and sending power back into the grid, thereby giving you a credit with the power company.

When you are home at night, the solar power credit you’ve built up during the day gets used by using normal grid power flowing IN to your system.

Here’s the kicker: With a bit of discipline, you can ensure that the net OUTflow (the power you sell BACK to the utility) is considerably more than the net INflow (the power you BUY from them). You can find out more on this strategy at our website below.

And, if you design and install the system correctly, you will find you may be eligible for a bonanza of incentive payments and tax credits that can substantially offset

There are many things to consider when looking for good quality promotional stress balls to promote your company. Many factories in China produce these fun stress toys but many are not worth importing and you would not want your logo printed on them. On the other hand, there are a few excellent suppliers who produce good quality stress relievers. Promotional gifts suppliers that specialize in promotional stress balls know who the good Far East suppliers are. Here are five things to look for when ordering promotional stress balls.

Good Quality PU Foam: Ask you suppliers to see samples. If you ask for samples from a few companies, you will most likely get stress balls of varying quality. Some will be hard while other will be very squishy slow releasing foam. This is what you should expect from a stress ball. The harder versions are substandard and will not represent your company well. In fact, they could work against you.

Good Quality Stress Balls at A Low Price: There are companies in the UK and US that bring in stress balls by the thousands and then sell them to promotional gift suppliers who then sell them on to their customers. You will know when this is the case because their Equallogic Prices will be substantially higher than those who work directly with a manufacturer and import the products themselves. It is definitely worth getting quotations from a few companies to ensure you are not paying over the odds.

Good Quality Print: Stress balls that are purchased from stress ball wholesalers are normally pad printed. Although this does not look bad, pad printing is no where near the quality of transfer printing. Ask your supplier to see both types of print. If they cannot do this, you should probably look elsewhere. In order to make an informed choice, you need to see both types of print!

Good Quality Base Coloring: If you are having stress balls manufactured in a certain colour, you need to ask that they are actually manufactured in PU that is that color. Many lesser quality balls are manufactured with white PU and then sprayed the color of choice. These will look good when you receive them but the print will not last. Over time it will begin to crack.

Good Quality Spray Colours: Many stress balls need to be sprayed additional colours. For example an apple stress ball might be manufactured in red but it will need other colours sprayed on to make it look like an apples such as dark brown core. When you receive your sample stress balls, make sure to give them a few hundred good squeezes. Good quality spray on colours should adhere to the product and not crack.

It is important to remember that stress balls are manufactured to promote and to have fun. No stress ball will last forever. Over time the print may crack and the stress ball will begin to discolor. If you look for high quality stress balls, they will last much longer promoting your business much longer as well.

Fun Ave. Ball pressure will not last forever. Over time the printed May crack the ball the pressure will begin to fade. If you are looking for high quality balls of tension, they will last a long time to promote your business much longer.

An assumption in this blog is that if your company has a ”network administrator” on staff, you have a network that is large enough to require constant ”care and feeding”. As such dumping a bunch of VoIP phones onto your network without VLAN’s would never happen. After all, the fist job of a network administrator is to make the network broadcast space smaller and smaller. That is why we subnet! Take a typical Class C network with 100 network devices on it and dump another 100 VoIP phones in that subnet and you are asking for trouble if you don’t VLAN. To suggest you don’t need a VLAN or at the very least, a separate subnet is just plain silly.

Did you ever hear the expression ’fences make good neighbors”? Well the same concept applies to networks and VLANs make network applications like voice and data, excellent neighbors! Lets assume those 100 desktop computers are in the 192.168.1.0 /24 subnet and you created a new 192.168.2.0 /24 network for your VoIP phones. In a ShoreTel deployment, you will have personal call managers installed on the computers in one network that need to get to the ShoreTel server and switches in the other network. How are you planning to do this? Use the old “router on a stick” solution (send all my LAN traffic up one switch port to a router and back down again)? Let me help you here, no! You are going to set up VLANs and do inter-VLAN routing at backplane hardware speeds on that new POE Ethernet switch you purchased to support your VoIP deployment.

Data networks have become “mission critical” for even the smallest of companies today. Just unplug someone’s Internet connection and you will quickly find out just how important the “network” has become! Start bogging down the network with Voice, Video and Streaming audio and you will quickly learn the value of VLANs. We invest billions of IT dollars on firewalls, spam ware and website filtering software so why would anyone suggest that a VLAN is just to complex to bother with? By the same (excuse the pun) token, why would someone suggest buying a new POE Ethernet switch that was not VLAN capable?

Data networks need to be described within the context of the protocols and business applications that are running on them. Big or small, we continually find that VLANs are an essential component in the maintenance of proper network hygiene. Imagine even a small VoIP deployment in a company enraged in video animation and you can quickly realize that it is not only how many devices I have on the network, but how my network is being used that will determine the qualify of voice in this deployment. We need to make sure that streaming video over even our LAN, does not negatively impact our VoIP deployment. To do this, we need prioritize voice over data and that means we have to establish QOS. To enable LAN based QOS you have to VLAN, because the class of service markings live in the VLAN tag!

Put your VoIP deployment in a multi-site environment with WAN links and the VLAN discussion now moves into the realm of “must have”. Quality Cisco Switches and Routers use the TOS byte in the IP header to provide enable QOS. As an aside, ShoreTel had the advantage of enabling Transport layer QOS as the VoIP media stream as always on port 5004. With the move to SIP, this advantage has been minimized as the media stream now moves unpredictably over some 16K ports. We can pass QOS information to our WAN links through a variety of strategies, but VLAN’s are an essential element of that strategy.

At the end of the day, unless you have a network that is so small you are running Vonage as your VoIP solution, you need to VLAN! Make sure that your VoIP deployment includes an assessment of your network and that you graphically understand how the network is utilized before you deploy voice. As your internetwork becomes more essential to your network, VLANs will surface into high relief on your radar screen. Consider that your shiny new ShoreTel now provides for Internet messaging and desktop Video as part of its advanced feature set, the idea of deploying a solution without a VLAN is just plain silly.

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

An assumption in this blog is that if your company has a ”network administrator” on staff, you have a network that is large enough to require constant ”care and feeding”. As such dumping a bunch of VoIP phones onto your network without VLAN’s would never happen. After all, the fist job of a network administrator is to make the network broadcast space smaller and smaller. That is why

MapleStory has been known to have steep leveling curves. This is all designed to keep players playing longer and not being able to reach the max level in a short amount of time.

By the steep leveling curves I mean the amount of XP required to reach the next level and how it exponentially jumps up a lot to reach the next level. It generally starts off allowing you to level very fast and then at a certain level the XP jumps up at a faster and faster rate until you’re grinding for a week or more just for one level.

By doing so you end up putting a lot of time into leveling while instead you can be out making Mesos and showing off your new cool gear.

This is why I’ve made a leveling guide in my ultimate Meso Guide. I want players to be able to level fast and not spend all their time just grinding in one spot just to reach the next level. I teach you the best ways to level with each class and show you the very best places to do it.

Locations
One of the most important things while trying to level in MapleStory is where to level and which monsters to kill. For this take take hours off the time it takes to reach the next level if you know which monsters give the best XP and which places have the greatest numbers and fastest respawn rates of each enemy. I’ve broken the entire leveling process down for you showing you the best monsters to kill for each level, where you can find them and which places have the most of them.

Secret Areas
In MapleStory there are Secret Areas. These are hidden zones through out the game that you cannot see the portal to enter but if you press your up arrow on a certain section of the Map you’ll enter the secret Area. These Areas are the best spots to level, for they have the most amount of monsters to kill and a ridiculous fast spawn time. In these zones you will never have any downtime for you will constantly be killing receiving mass amounts of EXP. I included a detail guide on all of the Secret Areas for each level range. You will learn the location of each one and how to enter. You will also learn the best strategies to increase your productivity in these zones while grinding.

Every country is plagued by inaccurate stereotypes. Outsiders view Americans as gun-toting hamburger lovers, the English as fish and chip eating polo players, and Canadians as passionate hockey fans with a penchant for maple syrup. So what do you water photo when you imagine Russia? Vodka? Matryoshka dolls? Bears wandering down snow-covered streets? Russia is no stranger to misconceptions and chances are you have been guilty of associating Russians with one of the stereotypes listed below.

Stereotype #1: Everybody Loves to Drink Vodka

As one of the largest producers of vodka, it’s probably safe to say that Russians enjoy a good drink. However, contrary to popular imagination, most Russians do not guzzle vodka every day. Russians, like citizens of any other country, have jobs to hold and family commitments to meet. This would be very difficult to do if they quaffed vodka day in and day out. While Russia is known for its vodka just like Japan is known for its sake and Germany for its beer, the majority of Russians do not get drunk on vodka on a regular basis.

Stereotype #2: Russia is Always Cold and Everyone Wears Fur Coats

While it’s true that Russia is one of the coldest countries on earth, it is also a huge nation with a large variety of temperatures. In fact, the summers are as warm as Florida in some places and Russia’s southern beaches draw many visitors.

As for fur coats, they are popular, but one can hardly claim that all Russians wear them. The idea that all Russians wear fur coats is just as inaccurate as the notion that all English people wear rain coats or that all Americans sport jeans and tennis shoes.

Stereotype #3: Russian Women Are Mail-Order Brides

Despite what some may think, Russian women are not desperate to marry foreigners. Many women enjoy happy, satisfying lives in Russia and even those who join Russian dating sites do not do so with immigration papers in mind. One of the quickest ways to insult a Russian woman is to call her a mail-order bride, so think before you speak.

Many other Russian stereotypes exist, but none are 100 % accurate. If you wish to impress a Russian lover, educate yourself about his or her home country rather than just relying on common myths. Shatter stereotypes about your own country as well. Intercultural relationships provide an excellent opportunity to learn about other nations and cultures. Take advantage of it!

Every country is littered with inaccurate stereotypes. Outsiders view Americans as a gunman who love hamburgers, English as fish and chips to eat the polo players, and as a passionate Canadian hockey fans with a taste of maple syrup. So what you imagine images when Russia? Vodka? Matryoshka dolls? Take wandering the streets of snow? Russia is no stranger to misunderstandings and is likely to have been found guilty of associating with the stereotypes of Russia are listed below.

Stereotype # 1: Everybody Loves a drink vodka

As one of the largest producers of vodka, it's probably safe to say that Russians enjoy a good drink. However, contrary to popular imagination, most Russians do not swallow vodka every day. The Russians, like the citizens of any other country, have jobs, to celebrate with family commitments to fulfill. This would be very difficult to do, if drinking vodka every day. Although Russia is known for its vodka, like Japan is known for his love and Germany for their beer, most Russians do not get drunk with vodka on a regular basis.

Stereotype # 2: Russia is always cold and use all the fur coats

Although Russia is one of the coldest on Earth, but alsour coats are popular, but you certainly can not say that all Russians are. The idea that all Russians carry skin is as accurate as the idea that all British men have rain coats, or that all American Sports jeans and sneakers.

Stereotype # 3: Are the Russian women, Mail

In any commercial establishment like restaurants, food stores, supermarkets, cafes, bars and hotels there is a huge requirement of food items on a daily basis. It becomes important for these establishments to store food and beverage items in a huge quantity to be able to meet the demands. That is why freezer appliances are so important for commercial use.

In a normal fridge the freezer compartments are so small that they are not at all suitable for commercial use. Freezer appliances come in large sizes, especially suited for the needs of restaurants. With freezer appliances it becomes possible to store all the food items in large quantities which make it easier for restaurants and cafes to operate smoothly.

There are several different kinds of freezer appliances that are available in the market today, designed for different kinds of needs and requirements. Some of the most popular types of freezer appliances are given below:

Chest freezers- chest freezers are the most popular type of freezer appliances. These are designed in the form of a chest, with a hinged door on top. These freezers are quite large in size and are very energy efficient since they maintain a steady temperature within the unit even when the door is frequently opened. These units are easy to use and are very efficient on energy consumption which makes them very popular.

Solid door freezers- solid door freezers are designed in an upright form, like a normal fridge. These are very user friendly since they allow systematic storage and have several separate compartments just like in a fridge.

Glass door freezers- glass door freezers are perfect for storing frozen food items for customer display. These freezers are in an upright design and have glass doors which can be locked which make it easier for the customers to view and select their products without having to remove them from the unit.

Ice cream displays: ice cream displays are widely used in ice cream parlours and any store that sells ice creams. These have a glass door, with several different compartments inside where the different flavours of ice creams can be sold and scooped out for the customers.

Blast freezers- blast freezers are especially designed to freeze food items in a very short time. These units are quite efficient and can chill and freeze food items in a very short time, which is why they are quite useful in restaurants where there might be a need to chill food items on an urgent basis due to large customer demands.

These were just some of the popular types of freezer appliances for commercial use, there are again several different models, brands, designs and features available within each of these categories.

Why are new and new community allowing for trade residential fiberglass doors both and each daylight? The answer is with the aim of fiberglass goblet are tightly basket weave goblet fiber doors with the aim of are super compelling and can carry on many new years than a forest or else metal exit would carry on. Residential fiberglass doors are preferred completed forest and steel doors instead of lots of end. Single of folks end being with the aim of they are stronger than metal doors and don’t burn instantly like a forest exit would. A fiber based exit can carry on up to an hour and a partly exclusive of burning to the ground. Featuring in statement, with the aim of is single of the top end to your house buyers are looking by the side of their alternatives, and residential fiberglass doors are preliminary to turn into a top top-notch featuring in nearly everyone exit buyers lists.

Fiberglass doors are additionally preferred completed forest doors for the reason that they complete not swell or else crack like a forest exit can, and are triple the strength and durability of a forest residential exit. Installing a residential fiber exit can take place really comfortable to complete. Some do-it-yourselfer or else to your house body can by a long way install single themselves. Rebuff need instead of an expensive company person to install it instead of you. I take part in to admit though, with the aim of residential fiberglass doors complete cost a tiny trace new money than a forest or else metal exit, but the end being is with the aim of they include a 25 time warranty and basically can carry on you a duration, with token to rebuff maintenance by the side of all! I friendship fiberglass entries and exits, and I advocate these highly amazing residential exit to everybody!

So are you interested featuring in a fiberglass exit instead of by hand, in that case check old hat http://www.Frplite.Com in the present day!

Common Risks Involved in Real Estate Investments

While a good many millionaires will agree that their fortunes were made in real estate, the honest ones will also tell you that they’ve probably lost a few fortunes in real estate along the way. This is a risky business and every property purchased doesn’t always pan out to become a successful investment. There are many risks involved in real estate investing and you would be going to battle unprepared if you didn’t take a moment to carefully study these risks and work to avoid them when planning your property investment strategy.

Unfortunately, there are very few one size fits all risks for real estate investing, as each type of investing is inherently different. This means that each type of real estate investment will involve a new set of risks. Below you will find a brief overview of different styles of investing and the common risks that are involved in each.

Rental Properties

This type of investing offers some risks that are unique and some that are also risks when investing in properties that are lease-to-own or rent-to-own as well. First and foremost is the risk of failing to make a profit. If the property in question cannot achieve an adequate monthly income to cover the expenses of operating the property then it is not a solid investment.

Other risks include the risk of getting bad tenants. This is particularly hard on first time investors. Bad tenants are costly and in some cases destructive (which leads to even greater expense). Vacancies are another risk for rental properties. These properties are only costing money as they sit empty rather than earning money as they were intended. Short turnovers are in your best interest as are long-term tenants.

“Flipped” Properties

This is one of the most enjoyable types of property investments for many ‘hands on’ investors. This allows the investor to roll up his or her sleeves and take an active role in creating the masterpiece that will eventually bring in serious revenue (at least that is the hope). This is also one of the riskier investments, particularly when trying to turn a profit in what is known as a buyer’s market.

The risks are simple but often overlooked and they can have a significant impact on the overall success or failure of the project. First of all, the biggest risk is in paying too much for the property. Other risks include underestimating the costs of repairs, over estimating the ability of the investor to do the work him or herself, taking too much time, experiencing a down turn in the housing market, making the wrong judgment call for the neighborhood, becoming overly ambitious, and getting greedy. Sometimes it is much better to walk away with a lesser profit than to end up loosing money by holding out.

Personal Residence

Keep in mind that your personal home is essentially an investment. The intention is that your home will gain in value over time and that equity in your home will build as you age. There are risks involved in this transaction as well. Buying a home that is in a ‘borderline’ area or one that is not showing obvious signs of growth is one of the biggest risks. This puts your home in the position to lose rather than gain value. This can make your home a burden rather than the investment it was intended to be. Other risks involve is becoming involved in a loan situation that is not at all beneficial (such as an adjustable rate mortgage or an unreasonable balloon payment).

Perhaps the biggest risk of all when purchasing a personal residence as an investment is failing to get a proper new construction inspection that could rule out potentially costly and even dangerous problems within the home your purchase for you and your family. Toxic mold is one problem that comes easily to mind that most proper home new construction inspections would almost immediately rule out. Others include structural problems that are costly to repair and dangerous to leave in disrepair. Each of these risks should be considered before an offer is made on any property.

For those seeking to turn impressive profits in short order, real estate is one way in which this can be accomplished. It is in your best interest however to be aware of the risks that are involved and take careful steps to minimize those risks. Taking these steps now may cost a little more on the front end but in many cases the pay off for doing so well outweigh the expenses.

Since Wafles only addressed males in his equipment section, this is to help with all of the female rogues who, despite rational logic, can not use male equipments. But don’t worry girls; we have equipment that makes the guys go gaga (and/or beg you for money, but that’s their problem isn’t it?)

Level 10: What can I say here? Nothing, really. Just stick to color schemes. No mixing red with blue, and vice versa. No earrings for you, and if you HAVE to have a glove, go ahead and get a work glove. Lots of people like scrolling these with attacks, but unless you’re a VERY funded person…ah, just stick with no gloves, it’s a pain making these at level 10 anyway. At level 11, buy a pair of Korean Adidas Wholesale, the ones that add speed. These’ll last you a bit, simply because the speed is awesome

Level 15: I personally hated these equips. They’re all…weird. If you’re still training at slimes, don’t worry about changing out unless you’re a stat hoar. Just get the hat, because that’s the closest you’ll ever get to a bandana at this point. Dont’ bother with earrings, they don’t add anything and you can hardly see them. Gloves, don’t bother, you’ll be getting level 20 gloves from Nella’s quest, along with valuable pots. Stick with the Korean Adidas Wholesale and get a Mithril Titan. You should have enough money to get one of these by now. It’s hard to craft one, so for 26,000 meso, you can go to orbis and pick up a steel titan. Then, a mithril plate isn’t that hard to come by, so forge the mithril titans. The gold is far too expensive, and doesn’t even look good.

Level 20: The Qi Pao sets, these are truely good looking, the best you can get at this level. The Pink Qi Pao shirt gives luck, as do the Purple Qi Pao shorts. At level 22, you can return the shorts for the Purple Qi Pao skirt, it gives more luck, and looks far better than the shorts. You’ll be using the gloves from Nella’s quest by now, and you’ll still be using Korean Adidas Wholesale. They get old fast, but you’re more than welcome to change at any time. The speed just helps train and get to places. Ignore the Igor set of claws, they don’t give much Watk, and they don’t boost your speed any either. Hold off on these for another level or two.

Level 25: Ok girls, this is it. Our equipment from here till 40 is MUCH better than the guy’s equipment. First off, get the Dark Sneakless set (?) from the shops, this helps a lot with Wdef and luck. Second, GET A BAMBOO HAT!!! This hat goes well, IMO, with the dark sneakless, and that 3 luck is no laughing matter. Next, you’re sticking with the Wolfskin (?) glove that you got from Nella, there’s no point in making gloves for a loong time, they’re all provided to you by quests. And as you may have longed for, you can now get a set of earrings, as they now give Mdef. All that’s left are the Adidas Wholesale. I’ll bet you’re sick and tired of those old Korean Adidas Wholesale, so you can get rid of them At level 26, Red Whitebottom boots give more speed, Wdef, and look cooler with the rest of your equipment from here on out. Your claw, byfar the fastest claw in the game, is Meba. It’s easier to buy one prescrolled with 100%’s and spend less than the actual amount of scrolls to scroll it. However, if you’re poor and can’t afford 450k at the dime of a hat, it’s perfectly normal to forge one and scroll it yourself. It’s kind of like a loan, either you pay it all up front, or you pay more with intrest over a period of time. I was…am… forever will be a poor ’sin, so I spend 490k on scrolls and 50k on the claw itself, but you can resell it, only spending 100k on the claw. But it lasts for 15 levels, and more than pays for itself.

By now, you should have a few decent stars, besides Subi. If not, focus all of your meso on buying several kumbi, around 3-4 should suffice for poor dwellers, backed by tops or Mokbi.

Level 30: There is a fair bit of variety in here, some use the level 30 gear from the shops, others use sauna robes for the avoidability and dex. I went with the red Sauna robe, because it looks a little better than the Sneak. The bamboo hat stays. That luck is invaluable, and it looks tons better than the 30 hat. The glove stays, since it’s a waste to make any now. You can get the chainboots from Nella’s quest, but a better alternative, IMO, are black snowAdidas Wholesale from El Nath. If scrolled properly, those things can last until forever, or until 40-60, whenever you decide to make boots. The claw stays, for another 10 levels, and you should have a decent pair of earrings if you decided to PQ or do Alex’s quest.

Level 35: Remember that Reign of utter leetness we had on those guys? It just ran dry. But we’

When you begin the game, you get to choose the stats that your character will begin the game with. These are STR, DEX, INT and LUK. Magician equipment, defence, and damage all depend on INT and LUK; STR and DEX are not required for anything. When creating your character, STR and DEX should be as low as possible, preferably a 4 in each, though up to dual 5 or even 6/4 is acceptable. Since INT and LUK will be raised at each level up, it doesn’t matter what they are at this point, as long as STR and DEX are low. However, getting a high INT (8/9/10) would be preferable, as well as LUK. Just remember to major your AP(ability points) in INT.

Detailed information about raising INT and LUK can be found on the Builds page.

Be patient at the start, It’s kinda hard

Maple Island

At the beginning, your damage will be severely limited. The best training enemy for the beginning Magician are Green and Blue Snails. Try not to use healing items now. Save them for later. If you die now, your experience stays the same. Later, during the first job, exp decreases if you die. Now since the BIG update, it will be a lot easier for mages to lvl up. Luckily, the Magician’s advancement level is only 8, whereas the other classes have an advancement level of 10. Also, a Hand Axe appears to be the best weapon for a Beginning Mage, since it has a higher tendency to strike for 3 damage.

The first few maps have an abundance of green snails. Beyond that are the two towns on Maple Island. If you wish, there are also quests on Maple Island that can be completed. One gives a helmet equip, and another gives a weapon. The second quest may require a lot of patience, as it asks for 10 orange mushroom caps (orange mushrooms have 80 hp!) as well as 30 blue snail shells. Fortunately, if you have the patience, there are safe spots you can jump and hit mushrooms without taking damage, but your hits tend to be extremely low (1). The reward for the quest is either a fruit knife or a razor, which is useless for a magician, so if you want to sell it then loot or buy orange mushroom caps.

Once you hit level 8 and if you have at least 20 points of INT (which you should if you have read this guide so far), go to Southperry and take the ship to Lith Harbour at a cost of 150 mesos. You may also want to have at least 2100 mesos after to buy a wooden wand and to get the taxi to Ellinia.

Victoria Island

First things first. By now, hopefully you should have at least 2,200 meso remaining, enough to get to the Mage town, Ellinia, and buy the first weapon that adds Magic Attack. If you have more, go to the Lith Harbour Weapon/Armour store and purchase the level 11 Common-Class top/bottom. These have more Weapon Defense than more your level 8 and 13(Male) Mage-specific equips, and no monsters apply Magic Defense to their attacks yet. The level 13(Female) Mage-specific equips have a slightly higher Weapon Defense than the level 11 Common-Class equips, but the slightly higher Weapon Defense is not worth the additional cost. Also, it may be easier for beginning mages to simply forgo clothing and invest their mesos in weapons, Red Potions and the important Blue Potions.

When you are ready, either talk to the man in the ticket booth near the ship, and choose to go to Ellinia or walk to Ellinia. Walking is a good way to train, but running into high level monsters is more or less inevitable. If you walk, make sure you do not advance to level 9 before getting to Ellinia. Also, before you leave, there is an easy quest you can do in Lith Harbor. Talk to Olaf, who is near the right of the city, in the lower level. Once you’ve answered his questions correctly, you can choose the next quest from him. Choose path of the Magician. Once you’ve become a magician, you can go back and talk to Olaf again (whenever, doesn’t have to be right away)and get a reward.

Once in Ellinia, head to the house at the VERY top of the map and go inside. Talk to Grendel. Assuming you are level 8 with at least 20 INT, advance from a Beginner to a Magician. Grendel will also increase your max MP by a large amount, and give you 1 Skill Point (SP) to use. Using that SP in magic bolt would most likely be the wisest, as it doesn’t use too much MP, so you can really start fighting.

Three Snails
Putting a point or two as a Beginner into Shell Throw can make fighting larger monsters a bit easier as Beginner and early Magician, albeit a sacrifice of a snail shell or two. It loses its usefulness when your Magic Bolt actually hits over 25-40(the end limit of the technique), but for taking down Mushrooms FAST, it’s worth the sacrifice of a pair of Red Shells.

First Job: Magician

Welcome to the way of the Magician. For detailed information about what
